The castle is located in a picturesque village on the Hampshire coastline and offers stunning water views along with direct beach access.
The transformation of the castle into ten luxurious apartments took 25 years. One of the apartments is currently available for £800,000.
As you approach the castle, electronic gates can be seen, a wide driveway, and a large front lawn.
The castle is surrounded by approximately 3.4 acres of landscaped grounds.
Living in Luxury
The apartment features a 'charming' living room with a fireplace and access to a balcony, offering incredible views of Southampton waters.
The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and bespoke oak furniture.
The master bedroom is spacious, has an ensuite bathroom and large built-in wardrobes, and offers a lovely view of the grounds and water feature.
The guest bedroom also has its own shower room and a view of the castle's front lawn.
A spacious study, previously used as the master bedroom, is provided, and there is a separate bathroom with a WC nearby.
The real estate agency Savills described this room as 'ideal for everyday living and entertaining, which can also serve as a formal dining room.'
Feeling of Royal Living
However, what truly takes you back in time is the castle's unique dining room.
The original part of Netley Castle includes the Great Hall, which can be used by all ten apartments for hosting events and meetings.
The property also has storage amenities, including a garage with an attic space above it.
Additionally, there is private electricity supply and convenient access to a block with remotely operated doors. Guest parking is also provided.
If you wish to visit the beach, there are two secure gates with direct access on the premises.
Netley Castle was constructed from stone around 1542 on the orders of Henry VIII as part of his coastal defenses.
In the 1880s, the castle was transformed with the addition of wings and towers on both sides.
This castle is not the only one for sale. Kinloch Castle on the remote Isle of Rum in Scotland also offers breathtaking views and has 20 bedrooms - it dates back to the 1200s and is also for sale.
Only 40 people live on the remote island where the castle is located.
Furthermore, a 17-room Scottish castle with servant quarters and a railway is also on the market.
