Czechs raised funds for a combat helicopter for Ukrainian intelligence.

Ukrainian volunteers raised funds for a helicopter for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The civic initiative Dárek pro Putina (gift for Putin) raised funds to purchase a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter for the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the volunteers' page on social media X.
'We did it! Czechs are sending a Black Hawk helicopter to Ukraine. We managed to get a cheaper and newer machine that Ukraine needs,' the message says.
It is known that the fundraising for the purchase of the Black Hawk helicopter for the Ukrainian army started in November 2023. However, as volunteers note, after a few months it slowed down significantly. This was due to pressure from different people who claimed that Ukraine did not need this machine and that the money would be better spent on something else.
After discussing this issue with representatives of the GUR, the volunteers decided to try to complete this fundraising.
In total, the volunteers managed to raise a little over 72 million Czech crowns (2.87 million euros) of the necessary 70 million. At the same Time, after the purchase, the Ukrainian side will take care of transporting the machine to Europe and putting it into operation.
With this money, a Sikorsky UH-60A+ Black Hawk helicopter will be purchased in the USA. Compared to the basic version, this helicopter is equipped with two T700-GE-701D turbofan engines, which are approximately a quarter more powerful than the basic ones.
Recall that earlier, the Czech president Petr Pavel called for the creation of a coalition of countries willing to achieve a just peace in Ukraine.
