Mykolaiv region will receive a new governor: his task is to triple investments.
The largest shipbuilding enterprise currently operating is the Ocean plant, which began its activities anew in 2019 after a long period of problems. In addition, due to its mild and relatively warm climate, the region has good potential for implementing projects in the field of alternative energy. In June 2019, the Norwegian company Scatec Solar, together with the Chinese corporation PowerChina Guizhou Engineering, began constructing a solar power plant with a capacity of 148 MW in the region.
The Mykolaiv region continues to develop its industry and infrastructure. Thanks to the location of the port and favorable climate, the region attracts foreign investors. New enterprises, particularly in solar energy and shipbuilding, contribute to the stable economic growth of the region. Despite all the positive trends, the regional authorities have plans to intensify investment attraction and introduce new tax incentives to stimulate business development.
