Divock Origi has not terminated his contract with Milan: What happens now?.
Divock Origi's contract with AC Milan remains uncertain
According to The Sun: Divock Origi has not terminated his contract with AC Milan, despite not having played a single game for the first team since the beginning of 2023.

Reports from Italy indicate that the 30-year-old player rejected an offer for a mutual termination of his contract due to difficulties in agreeing on a severance package.
It became known that Origi has fallen into a difficult situation because of an inactive tax law known as the 'Growth Decree'. This regulation, which was lifted after signing the contract with Milan in 2023, allowed the club to pay less tax on his salary, but complicates his ability to leave the country for an extended period.
Challenges in Origi's career
Origi has only one year left on his contract, and if he cannot agree with the club on ending it, he will likely have to sit out another season.
Fans remember him for his performances at Liverpool, where he became a cult figure through his memorable cameos.
“Origi became a key player in Liverpool's Champions League campaign in 2019 thanks to his heroic moments, especially in the match against Barcelona.”
However, in Italy, he struggled to integrate into a team that needed more experienced attackers like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud.
In the 2023/24 season, he made a brief comeback to the Premier League by joining Nottingham Forest on loan but once again failed to meet expectations, scoring no goals in 20 matches.
Current prospects
Now, Origi faces the prospect of missing another year in his professional career as he has to compete for a spot in the starting eleven with Santiago Gimenez and new signing, former Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku.
The situation of Divock Origi highlights the challenges that players face when they cannot fulfill their potential in a new team. His experience may serve as a lesson for many entering the world of professional sports as it involves not only the ability to play but also adapting to new circumstances and challenges.
