Cole Palmer to miss until November: Chelsea explains injury reason.
Cole Palmer to miss several matches due to injury
According to The Sun: Cole Palmer, the star of Chelsea, will be unable to play until November due to a groin injury.
The 23-year-old player has only appeared in four matches this season.
Palmer sustained the injury during pre-season training. He managed to play a full 90 minutes in the season opener, where the team drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace. However, due to a persistent groin issue, he missed matches against West Ham and Fulham that occurred before the international break in September.
Cole returned to the field on September 13, coming off the bench in a match against Brentford, where he scored, and the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Four days later, he scored again in a match against Bayern, although his team lost 1-3, but Palmer played the entire match.
However, the following Saturday he left the field after just 21 minutes in the match against Manchester United, where the team lost 2-1. After a red card for Robert Sanchez, coach Maresca substituted Pedro Neto and Esteban Willian.
“I am concerned that Palmer’s injury may be chronic,” noted the team’s coach Thomas Tuchel.
According to information published in the Mail, Chelsea management hopes that Palmer will return to the field in November. Doctors do not anticipate the need for surgery, believing that rest will help the player recover.
Missed matches
The player will miss matches against Nottingham Forest, Ajax, Sunderland, and Wolverhampton. It will be difficult for him to recover in time for the away game against Tottenham on November 1.
Palmer's injury creates inconveniences for Chelsea, as his contribution to the team's play is significant. The absence of a key player at a critical time in the season could affect the club's results in upcoming matches. Fans hope for Palmer's speedy recovery and his return to the squad. Read also
