Wider opportunities for Horner

According to The Sun: Guenther Steiner, former colleague of Christian Horner at Red Bull, believes Horner would be the 'perfect' candidate for the expert role at Sky Sports.

Horner is in search of a new job after a dramatic end to his 20-year career at Red Bull in July.

The Formula 1 specialist received an impressive severance package of 80 MILLION pounds after his dismissal but does not plan to take a break.

Horner is actively communicating with Formula 1 team leaders and looking for management opportunities.

In particular, he has already discussed the team leader position at Ferrari.

Horner's plans and advice from Steiner

Horner is expected to agree to a position that allows him to make independent decisions, given the power struggles he faced at Red Bull.

Whether he will get such an opportunity at Ferrari remains an open question.

Guenther Steiner believes Horner should broaden his horizons.

“I think [Horner] will quickly get into new affairs, but I don’t know what he has in mind. Maybe he just wants to return to this field, but maybe he is interested in trying something different,” he said on The Red Flags podcast.

“Christian could easily appear on television, at Sky. It’s perfect: he’s British and knows the sport well. But I think he needs to calm down a bit, not take the first offer, and consider what else is on the market.”

Horner's exit deal from Red Bull prevents him from joining competitors until the summer of 2026.

Therefore, a job on television may become the best option for maintaining his financial status in the coming months.

Horner is known for his emotional behavior, which made him one of the prominent figures during his time at Red Bull, especially during conflicts with Toto Wolff from Mercedes.

At the same time, he became the subject of an investigation last year when one of his colleagues at Red Bull accused him of 'inappropriate behavior.'

Horner denied all allegations and underwent an internal investigation and an independent audit that cleared him.

Christian Horner's search for new opportunities reflects his desire to remain in the motorsport environment, which continues to attract the interest of fans and experts. His future in leadership positions or television projects opens new horizons in the world of Formula 1.
