Strike at Magnavale Warehouses Threatens Turkey Shortage for Christmas.
Worker Protests at Turkish Meat Warehouses
According to The Sun: Issues with avian flu are not the only worries ahead of the Christmas holidays in the UK. Workers at one of the largest frozen turkey warehouses - Magnavale Easton - announced a strike at the beginning of December.
The strike will last until December 14, which could significantly impact the supply of turkey for holiday tables.
“We believe that our demands should be taken seriously,” said the workers' representatives.
This situation puts the supply of turkey for the holidays at risk, considering the active stance of the workers and the potential consequences of the strike.
This strike could lead to a shortage of turkeys in stores, affecting the plans of many families already preparing holiday menus. With increased demand for turkey not only related to Christmas but also to other holidays, the situation becomes even more critical.
