The father of three children is not entitled to deferment, according to the Poltava Regional TCC and SP.

According to the law "On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization", men who support three or more children under the age of 18 have the right to deferment.

However, an exception to this rule is those who have debt for alimony payments, the total amount of which exceeds the sum of three months' payments. Also, a father is not entitled to deferment if he does not live with his children and does not pay alimony at all.

In cases where a father raises a foster child, and the biological father pays alimony, deferment from conscription is also not granted. This is explained by the fact that the child is under the care of the biological father.

In the Poltava TCC, it was noted that every man who has the right to deferment will definitely receive it. To do this, it is necessary to personally submit an application to the chairman of the TCC and SP commission at the place of military registration. The application form is defined in Appendix 4 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Confirmation documents, the list of which is specified in Appendix 5 of the same Resolution, must be added to the application.

Law on Returning the Deferment

On September 7, law 3916-IX came into force, concerning the return of deferment from conscription for reservists whose minor brother or sister died or went missing during combat operations. According to this law, deferment from conscription is granted in the event of mobilization of reservists who lost their brothers or sisters while defending Ukraine.
