Watermelons can be bought at markets for 15-20 hryvnias per kilogram, while in supermarkets, the price ranges from 16 to 33 hryvnias per kilogram. The most elite varieties can even cost up to 50 hryvnias per kilogram.
As for melons, their price is also impressive - at markets, they are sold for 30 to 40 hryvnias per kilogram, while in supermarkets, the price can reach 83 hryvnias per kilogram.
This year, Ukrainians have the opportunity to choose where and for how much to buy watermelons and melons, but it is worth considering all options to avoid overpaying for their favorite summer flavors.
