Corn prices fell to 8,978 hryvnias per ton: when to expect stabilization.
In August, corn prices in Ukraine decreased. Despite unstable weather and harvesting problems, the market situation is expected to stabilize soon.
Analysts believe that high temperatures in southern and eastern Ukraine negatively affected the plantings, leading to a decrease in the expected harvest. Farmers are also refraining from making new agreements due to uncertainty about the volume of the harvest.
'According to forecast indicators, prices in the domestic market for agricultural products will remain stable with further moderate strengthening.'
According to data from the Tripoli.land portal, as of August 19, a ton of corn costs on average 8,978 hryvnias. Over the past eight days, the price of corn has decreased by 249 hryvnias. Prices for the crop fluctuated between 9,227 and 8,978 hryvnias over several days.
Danilo Getmantsev, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax, and Customs Policy, is confident that Ukraine will cope with the challenges of the harvest and their impact on the country's foreign exchange market.
