The number of civil servants with pensions over 100,000 pounds has tripled: report data.
Growth of pensions in the public sector
According to The Sun: Pension payments for civil service retirees have reached record six-figure sums per year. However, many are already expressing concerns about the stability of such a system. The number of former officials receiving more than 100,000 pounds a year has tripled in three years - from 71 to 216 individuals. And the number of those receiving five-figure amounts over 50,000 pounds has also significantly increased.
“The system is under pressure, and it simply cannot continue at the same pace”
This trend raises serious questions about the financial stability of public pensions and emphasizes the need for reforming the system. In the face of rising costs and concerns about the budget, society must recognize the importance of changing approaches to pension payments to ensure their sustainability in the future.
