According to The Sun: Burnley club legend Colin McDonald has passed away at the age of 95. The goalkeeper, who played for the 'Clarets' from 1952 to 1961, made 201 appearances.
McDonald started his career with the club as an amateur in 1948, initially playing in the reserve team. In 1950, he left the club for two years as he was
drafed into military service in 1950.
Colin McDonald left a significant mark in the history of Burnley, becoming one of those who defined the club's era. His contribution to the game and dedication to the team will never be forgotten. The death of such an outstanding athlete is a loss not only for the club but for the entire football community.
