Salford Rovers on the brink of bankruptcy: who will be the new owner of the club.
Possible salvation for SALFORD club
According to The Sun: The SALFORD club may get a chance for salvation thanks to a new consortium if the current team goes bankrupt. A hearing on the case will take place on October 29, which has already been postponed twice, regarding the liquidation application filed by HMRC over debts amounting to at least £626,000. At the same time, experts believe that the actual debt amount could be closer to £800,000.
The club's owners, Iosifas Kailahi, have already secured £5 million for temporary financing. However, if the club does not find a solution to its financial difficulties, its future remains at risk.
“This is a critical moment for the club. We all hope for positive results.”
The club is not only facing financial problems but also has an urgent need to find new investors who could help overcome this crisis. In case of failure, this could lead to the closure of the club, causing disappointment to its fans and staff.
