FCA to increase the contactless payment limit: what will change for buyers.
Changes in contactless payments
According to The Sun: Soon buyers will be able to make larger payments more easily using contactless cards, thanks to plans from the city regulator. Currently, there are limits that allow payments of only up to £100 per transaction when using physical contactless cards.
According to the changes that will be introduced next year by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), banks and payment providers with reliable fraud control systems...
...will be able to allow larger payments.
These innovations are aimed at simplifying financial transactions and making them more convenient for users.
Changes in contactless payments may significantly impact everyday purchases, as the increase in the limit will allow consumers to pay for goods and services faster and more conveniently. This, in turn, may encourage people to use contactless payments even more actively.
