Chernobyl NPP again without power due to shelling: what threatens safety.
Chernobyl NPP has lost electricity due to shelling
According to inkorr.com: The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant is facing a serious problem – as a result of the shelling of energy infrastructure in the Kyiv region, the facility has been left without electricity supply. This poses risks to important systems that control the safety of the fourth power unit.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. We hope that the workers will be able to quickly restore electricity supply at the plant.
Dangerous situation in Slavutych
In the city of Slavutych, a critical situation has arisen due to enemy shelling of the energy facility at the Chernobyl NPP. Voltage in the power grid has increased, and again the New Safe Confinement has been left without electricity, which prevents radioactive materials from entering the environment.
'Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible,' emphasized the Ministry of Energy.
Repair specialists are restoring electricity supply
Earlier, there were reports of a drone attack on energy infrastructure in the Kyiv region, which led to power outages for residents of the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. Currently, specialists are actively working to restore electricity supply, and repair crews are already on site.
It is worth noting that in Chernihiv, more than 300 thousand consumers were left without electricity, and strict power outage schedules have been introduced.
The situation at the Chernobyl NPP demonstrates serious threats to Ukraine's energy infrastructure as a result of hostile actions. The emergency situation underscores the importance of ensuring the safety and reliability of the power grids in the country. In times of war, such disruptions in electricity supply can have serious consequences for the safety of the population and environmental protection, so prompt response is vital.Read also
