Ukrainian Armed Forces refuted rumors about Andriivka: the village remains under Ukrainian control.
Situation in the Sumy direction
According to ТСН: The Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the events in the Sumy direction of the front. Andriivka remains under the control of the Ukrainian military.
On the air of 'KYIV24', spokesperson of the 8th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vadym Karpyak noted:
'The enemy does not abandon its attempts to storm Andriivka with marine forces, but their assaults are failing.'
Recently, 8 Russian soldiers penetrated the outskirts of Andriivka, but they were completely destroyed there.
According to Karpyak:
'The fact that they reached the edge of Andriivka gave grounds to suggest a so-called “occupation”, which we absolutely do not confirm. This could have led to such rumors. Now Andriivka is under our control, as it was. The enemy is on the retreat, but does not leave attempts to attack the settlement. We continue to work.'
Moreover, the analytical project DeepState previously reported possible occupation of Andriivka and Novomarkove by Russian troops, and also recorded advances in the area of Mayske.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine officially responded to questions about the capture of Andriivka, emphasizing:
'Officially and with full responsibility, we inform: Andriivka has been and remains under the full control of the group of troops “Kursk”. Therefore, there can be no talk of any occupation.'
This situation underscores the importance of territorial control and answers numerous questions regarding possible changes on the front. Despite the enemy's attempts, the Ukrainian military continues to hold positions, confirming their determination and readiness for further actions.
