Former US General on Putin: Give Him an Inch — He’ll Take a Mile.
According to ТСН: Former US special representative, retired General Keith Kellogg, noted that the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin will not stop at Ukraine if he manages to achieve victory. While the world discusses how he compared Zelensky to Lincoln, Kellogg also made an important statement about Putin's psychology and intentions.
“Give Him an Inch — He’ll Take a Mile”
Kellogg is convinced that Putin seeks imperial revanchism.
“You must view Putin and Russia as an expansionist force. He wants to restore the Russian Empire — just look at history. Give him an inch, and he’ll take a mile,” warned the general.
He drew parallels that might frighten Europeans.
“This reminds me of World War II: in Munich in 1938, Hitler said he wanted only the Sudentenland. Then the Rhineland, then Poland, and we found ourselves in World War II. History doesn’t repeat itself, but it certainly rhymes,” Kellogg noted.
When asked if Russia could attack a NATO country if Ukraine falls, Kellogg replied: “Absolutely!”
KGB Manipulator
Kellogg, who has experience communicating with the Russian elite, described Putin as a professional manipulator who has never stopped being a KGB agent.
“He pretends he doesn’t speak English, but he does, and we caught him on this several times before,” the general stated.
According to Kellogg, the only language that the Kremlin understands is power.
“The only thing that can counter this is strength, authority, and power. Putin is a realist, and if you raise the stakes, he will back down,” summarized the former Trump representative to Ukraine.
It’s worth noting that Trump has also spoken about possible actions regarding Putin, emphasizing that he has always had “great relationships” with the Kremlin's master.
Kellogg's classic comments reflect concerns about further aggressive actions by Russia, which could affect not only Ukraine but also other European countries. In a situation where the international community is trying to curb the Kremlin’s aggression, it is important to understand the motives and strategies Putin uses to achieve his goals.
