Denmark to allocate over $2 billion for strengthening defense in the Arctic.

The Danish government has announced that it intends to invest 14.6 billion kroner in enhancing its defense capabilities in the Arctic and the North Atlantic. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

The ministry also stated that 'the parties to the Danish Defense Agreement have agreed on new terms for the Arctic and North Atlantic regions.' The agreement includes financial commitments amounting to 14.6 billion Danish kroner.

As part of these plans, the deployment of three new Arctic vessels, the use of long-range drones, and satellites for data collection are planned.

'With these measures, we will be able to ensure our presence in the Arctic and the North Atlantic, where there are serious security threats,' said Danish Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen.
