Denmark calls on the EU not to leave Ukraine alone: what to expect at the negotiations.
According to inkorr.com: Denmark's Minister Marie Bjerre commented on the injustice of separating Ukraine and Moldova in the context of their European integration. She emphasized the need to support Ukraine after Russia's annexation of Crimea, stating that the country should not be left alone in its EU membership process. Bjerre also noted that the expansion of the European Union is an important step to strengthen security in the region.
Denmark's Position
'The reason for the new momentum in the expansion process lies precisely in Ukraine. This is due to Russia's full-scale invasion. It would be unfair to leave Ukraine alone. We must move forward with Ukraine as well,' said Marie Bjerre.
Challenges for Ukraine
At the same time, the Hungarian government refuses to start negotiations on Ukraine's EU membership, which threatens the country's prospects for Eurointegration and creates new challenges.
Marie Bjerre emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine in its quest for EU membership due to the geopolitical challenges threatening Europe's security. Budapest's refusal to negotiate complicates the situation and may negatively impact Ukraine's further steps towards European integration.
The changing international political landscape and the refusal of certain states to cooperate with Ukraine signal the need for European partners to unite efforts to support its Eurointegration aspirations. It is essential to monitor the developments to understand how this will impact Ukraine and its path to EU membership.
