“I am trying to inspire myself and play like the old Snakebite, but I am coming back, I have lost a bit of weight, and tomorrow I will be better.”
Wright also shared how he was greeted by fans:
“I was thrown out at the exit, I went through many people in the crowd, there are so many Snakebite fans, and I really, really appreciate it.”
Although he lost to Steven Bunting 6-5 and did not make it to the quarterfinals, Wright received compliments for his weight loss. One fan remarked:
“Good job, this is a real transformation. Always a reminder that health is true wealth.”
Months after the disappointing performances, in January, Wright looked at the situation with humor, acknowledging that he was a “big fat guy.” He added:
“I need to start losing weight. It will be good. Everyone else is doing the same.”
Wright also expressed a desire to lose even more weight through proper nutrition and exercise. He jokingly mentioned that his wife would teach him to swim if he couldn’t manage it himself.
