Peter Wright lost three stones in weight: how it affected his darts game.

However, Wright acknowledges that the weight loss has led to a decrease in the 'power' of his throw, and his darts no longer fly as accurately as he would like.
PDC commentator Dan Dawson spoke about a conversation with Wright, where he shared his feelings about the impressive transformation. He noted:
'The old Peter Wright was one of the best players the game has ever seen.'

Dawson continues: 'He says he lost three stones by eating only one meal a day. But he also admits that he has lost some power in his throw.'
'Physically and mentally, he says he feels amazing - much better.'
However, Wright is having a tough season: he has dropped to 16th in the rankings due to poor form and results.

'He feels that he has lost a bit of power in his throw,' noted Dan Dawson.
The eight-time major tournament winner Wright was knocked out in the third round of the Czech Open last week, losing 6-5 to Stephen Bunting. He led 5-3 but missed two darts that could have secured him the win, which only worsened his performance this season.
This situation shows that despite the physical changes, adapting to new playing conditions takes time and effort. Peter Wright hopes that over time he can regain his accuracy and reaffirm his status as one of the best players in the world. His upcoming performances in darts remain in the spotlight, and fans look forward to his new achievements in this highly competitive discipline.
