Silpo has reduced prices by up to 50%: which products are on sale.
Ukrainian supermarkets have recently started to regularly offer discounts on products to attract more customers. Monitoring discount promotions in the Silpo store chain has revealed that this can be beneficial for consumers, as prices are reduced by half or more on certain items.
Big Discounts at Silpo
The discounts on products are not only related to slowing down sales but also the need to free up shelf space for new products. Many customers want to save money but often believe that reduced prices indicate poor quality or that items are nearing their expiration dates. Such perceptions hinder people from spending wisely on groceries.
According to the latest data as of August 19, 2025, significant discounts on the following items were available at Silpo:
- sau sausage — 99 UAH instead of 239 UAH (-59%);
- dried mango — 99 UAH instead of 214 UAH (-54%);
- whisky — 399 UAH instead of 839 UAH (-52%);
- marshmallow — 39.99 UAH instead of 80.99 UAH (-51%);
- long-grain unpolished rice — 44.99 UAH instead of 86.99 UAH (-48%);
- cheese 50% fat — 29.90 UAH instead of 55.90 UAH (-47%);
- beer — 24.99 UAH instead of 45.39 UAH (-45%);
- potato chips — 54.99 UAH instead of 99 UAH (-44%);
- instant coffee — 419 UAH instead of 739 UAH (-43%);
- processed cheese — 14.99 UAH instead of 25.99 UAH (-42%);
- sparkling wine — 249 UAH instead of 424 UAH (-41%);

What will happen to bread and meat prices
Expert and General Director of the 'Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation' Pavel Koval predicted that bread prices may rise by 22% due to bad weather and harvest losses. This indicates that bread prices will increase on average by 1.1-2% each month, and by 2025, the growth could reach 22%.
As for meat, there is also an anticipated increase in prices due to the threat of shortages and the need for costs to maintain animals during winter.
What else Ukrainians should know
The market is experiencing price drops for watermelons, but prices for chicken eggs have slightly increased due to changes in the grain market. Supermarkets continue to please customers with discounts, so it is possible to save on various products.
