Intelligence: Russia Faces Energy Crisis Due to 25 GW Shortage.
According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service reported a deterioration of the electricity situation in Russia. Demand for electricity exceeds the capabilities of power plants. In October this year, the electricity supply deficit reached 25 GW due to limited production capacities. The main reason for this situation is the imbalance between increasing consumption and the development of energy infrastructure.
According to intelligence data, over 70% of thermal power plants in Russia have been in operation for more than 30 years, exceeding their nominal service life. This creates risks for power transmission lines and leads to frequent accidents. Regions not connected to the unified energy system of the country are particularly vulnerable.
The Western sanctions related to military actions in Ukraine have an additional impact on the situation, as Russia has lost the ability to access modern energy equipment and technologies. This complicates the process of modernizing networks and implementing energy-efficient solutions.
Ukrainian intelligence warns that the electricity shortage in Russia may negatively affect its economy and energy security. The danger increases, especially in regions with faulty energy systems, which could lead to accidents.
This situation indicates serious problems in Russian energy, which could have far-reaching consequences not only for the country itself but also for neighboring regions. Inadequate electricity supply could complicate internal governance and impact socio-economic stability in Russia.
