The former Tottenham player and England international joined the Italian club in January.

He came on as a substitute against AC Milan on March 15, but was sent off just nine minutes later.

Dele initially received a yellow card for a late tackle on Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but after a VAR review, it was upgraded to a red card – despite protests from the opponent and teammate Kyle Walker.

After that, Alli did not appear on the field again, although he was on the bench seven more times before the end of the season. The situation showed that he is no longer part of head coach Cesc Fabregas's plans.
