Ukraine welcomed new ambassadors from Greece, Albania, Japan and Egypt who started their diplomatic mission. President Volodymyr Zelensky enforced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions against individuals and companies. Kryvyi Rih declared a day of mourning for those killed in the Russian attack. Here are some of the key events on November 11:
New ambassadors from Greece, Albania, Japan, and Egypt launch diplomatic mission in Ukraine
Today, November 12, Greece's ambassador Pantelis Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, Albania's ambassador Ernal Filo, Japan's ambassador Masashi Nakagome, and Egypt's ambassador Barackat Ali Elleti began their work in Ukraine. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky mentioned that he has already met with each ambassador and discussed bilateral relations issues.
Zelensky enforces NSDC decision on sanctions against individuals and companies
President Volodymyr Zelensky enforced the National Security and Defense Council decision on applying sanctions against certain individuals. The relevant decrees were published on the official presidential website.
These sanctions include restrictions on 15 individuals for 10 years, including Sevastopol governor Mykhailo Rozvozhayev and collaborator Volodymyr Nemtsov. Sanctions were also imposed on 39 companies.
In addition, sanctions were imposed on 63 more companies, including Russian airlines, airports, oil and gas companies.
Kryvyi Rih declares day of mourning for victims of Russian attack
On November 13, Kryvyi Rih declared a day of mourning for the victims of the Russian attack. A young woman and her three children were killed. This information was provided by the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council Oleksandr Vilkul.
The search and rescue operations have already been completed. In total, five people were rescued from the rubble.
Currently, four people are known to have died, including a 32-year-old woman and her three children. The only survivor is the father.
Explosion of the Kurakhiv Reservoir dam: consequences
Water continues to flow into the Kurakhiv Reservoir after the dam was damaged. However, there are no reports of homes being flooded yet. This was communicated by the head of the city's military administration Roman Padun.
Meanwhile, due to constant shelling by occupiers, the inspection of the damaged dam has been hindered.
Padun also reported that the Russian army attempted to damage the dam over a period of three months.
Transfer of soldiers in the army through the “Army+” application - president
The head of state Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the government has adopted a special resolution that introduces a transparent mechanism for transferring soldiers between units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This mechanism provides for transfers at the initiative of the military personnel themselves.
The President noted that this initiative was developed in cooperation with civil society, the Ministry of Defense, and the Armed Forces.
Zelensky also mentioned that the transfers will be carried out through an application called “Army+”.
