The State Bureau of Investigation reported that a former acting director of the Department of State Procurement and Supply of Material Resources of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has been charged with causing the state losses amounting to over 2 billion UAH. This was reported by

Bribery and violations of the law
The official is accused of negligence in office (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and forgery of official documents (Part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It has been established that in 2023, at least 76 contracts for the supply of lubricants, oil, and distillates for special equipment were concluded using businesses, totaling over 17 billion UAH.
It has been reported that the former head of the defense department of Ukraine is suspected of substantial corruption activities that have led to significant losses for the state. It has also been established that the contracts concluded with his participation had significant financial implications.Read also
