Jake Paul vs. Wilder: Former Champion Ready to Give a Reality Lesson.
According to The Sun: Deontay Wilder has expressed his desire to fight Jake Paul, aiming to give him a 'realistic lesson'.
Wilder is the latest boxer to show interest in a potential bout with the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
Getty AFPAlthough it's only a possibility for now, Wilder is open to discussing this lucrative deal.
He told Brian Mazique:
“Nothing has been offered, at this point it's not real, but if it comes to me, of course, I would 100% accept it.”
“He does his business in an unconventional way, it's not the logical path that boxers take to gain fame and glory.”
“Unfortunately, it's a much tougher path. Some of those guys never see $50,000 in their lives, let alone $100,000 or $1 million.”
“This module doesn't work that way, but it's what young people hope for.”
“Unfortunately, people try to chase popularity. What's popular, what can make money.”
“Money moves the world, and everyone is trying to earn those dollars – it doesn't matter what skills you have, as long as you can draw a crowd.”

Jake Paul moved up to heavyweight in November when Mike Tyson controversially returned to the ring at 58 years old.
Despite the criticism, over 100 MILLION people have watched on Netflix as Tyson lost in eight shorter rounds of two minutes.
Paul, 28, won against former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June, earning the 14th spot in the WBA cruiserweight rankings.
The American, who has suffered only one defeat in 13 fights – to Tommy Fury in 2023, recently entered unexpected negotiations with Anthony Joshua.
World champion AJ reportedly was close to finalizing a deal to fight Paul next year.
But negotiations stalled after Paul announced an exhibition fight on November 14 against lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, who is five stones lighter.
Paul's campaign claims that their plans still include a fight with Joshua in 2026, while the British legend hasn't fought since September 2024 following a loss to Daniel Dubois.
Wilder, 39, has also expressed his willingness to fight Paul to give him a lesson.
“Here's how I would see it. It would be a big realistic lesson.”
“It would be called 'A Realistic Lesson'. At least for me.”
Wilder has suffered two defeats – to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang – before returning to victory against obscure Tyrell Herndon in June.
He is currently negotiating a fight with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, who lost his two boxing matches to Tyson Fury and AJ.

Amid active negotiations between the athletes, it is worth noting that a fight between Wilder and Paul would attract significant attention from boxing fans and media. While the idea remains in the discussion stage, interest in such bouts continues to rise as the sports world becomes increasingly integrated with entertainment. Boxers who become media personalities can find new opportunities and markets even in unconventional formats. Read also
