Budget-2026: one billion hryvnias more for displaced persons – who will receive it.
According to inkorr.com: During the discussion of the draft state budget for 2026, a new amendment was adopted that increases financial support for internally displaced persons. An additional one billion hryvnias will be allocated for these needs. In addition, 500 million hryvnias are allocated for providing housing for displaced persons living in rural areas. This was reported by the press service of the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Attention to the needs of war victims
Member of Parliament Maksym Tkachенко noted that increasing budget expenditures for assistance to internally displaced persons is extremely important, as the war in Ukraine has already been ongoing for twelve years. He also emphasized that compensation for lost housing should be provided not only to displaced persons but also to those Ukrainians who have lost their cities, destroyed as a result of the war.
Increasing financial assistance for internally displaced persons in the state budget for the next year is an important step towards improving their living conditions. Supporting such initiatives indicates attention to the needs and problems of this vulnerable category of the population in Ukraine.
This measure will contribute not only to improving living conditions but also to the social reintegration of people who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war. It is important that new budget allocations help not only displaced persons but also all citizens affected by the conflict.
