The U.S. State Department has changed the risk level for travel to Ukraine

The U.S. State Department has updated its recommendations for Americans traveling to Ukraine, lowering the risk level from four to three for nine Ukrainian regions. This is reported on the official website of the State Department.

Some regions may have a lower risk level due to the presence of air defense and distance from active combat zones

It also states that for travel to nine regions in western Ukraine, a third risk level has been established. This applies to trips to Volyn, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions.

The unprovoked full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine continues, and even regions that are not directly on the front line remain targets of Russian missile and drone attacks. Travelers must respond to air alerts and seek appropriate shelter

It is also noted that the security situation can change rapidly, and travelers must be prepared for an immediate departure without warning.

The Ukrainian ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova noted in a post on her Facebook page that this is good news. She emphasized that this has been the result of the persistent efforts of the Ukrainian Embassy in the U.S., business associations, and the State Department.

I'm sincerely grateful to our American colleagues for this decision. We continue to work on increasing weapons, air defense, and regional cooperation to achieve victory faster and increase investments and business activity. This is the only way to self-sufficiency

We remind you that earlier the State Department reported that the U.S. still does not support Ukraine's long-range strikes on the Russian Federation.

By the way, North Korean forces are participating in combat operations in the Kursk region. However, their effectiveness on the battlefield depends directly on integration into the Russian army. This was stated by the spokesperson for the U.S. State Department Vedant Patel.

Earlier it became known that Europe has experienced a challenging tourist season this year - Venice, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and other cities have been flooded with tourists from all over the world, seemingly eager to make up for the losses experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic.
