Dynamo learned their opponents in the main stage of the Europa League.
On Friday, August 30, at the Grimaldi Forum Congress Center in Monaco, the draw for the main stage of the Europa League took place, where Dynamo will play this season. According to the new format of the tournament, the draw was conducted using an automated computer system. During the draw, it was determined which matches would be at home and which away.
The main change in the Europa League was the abandonment of the group stage and the introduction of a single league stage with 36 clubs (previously 32). Each team is guaranteed a minimum of eight matches against eight different opponents. The top eight teams in the league are guaranteed a place in the playoffs, while the remaining teams will compete in a two-legged playoff for a spot in the round of 16.
The teams were divided into four pots based on club coefficient. In the general stage, teams will not face representatives of their own country and can play a maximum of two teams from the same association.
Dynamo's opponents in the main stage:
- Lazio (Italy) - home match
- Roma (Italy) - away
- Ferencváros (Hungary) - home
- Real Sociedad (Spain) - away
- Viktoria Plzeň (Czech Republic) - home
- Galatasaray (Turkey) - away
- RFS (Latvia) - home
- Hoffenheim (Germany) - away
The final schedule and start times of the matches will be announced on August 31. The main stage matches of the Europa League will take place from September 25-26, 2024 to January 30, 2025.
In the Europa League final, the Italian team Atalanta defeated the German team Bayer with a score of 3:0.
