Dynamo out of Champions League: humiliating defeat to Paphos 0:2.
Humiliating defeat for 'Dynamo'
'Dynamo' struggled from the first seconds of the match due to the hosts' pressing. Already in the 2nd minute, Neshcheret made a mistake while going out to the left flank of the penalty area, allowing Tankovych to roll the ball from a sharp angle to the far post, where Orshych finished the combination.
After conceding the goal, 'Dynamo' became flustered and started making an incredible number of mistakes. Before the break, the Kyiv team could have conceded three more times, but Neshcheret and luck saved them.
The second goal was expected and happened in the 55th minute. Orshych delivered an accurate cross from the left flank to the far post, where Correa, leaping powerfully, hit the net.
After the second goal, the Kyiv team completely gave up, except for Andriy Yarmolenko, who was the standout player for 'Dynamo'. The Cypriots could have made the score 3:0, 4:0, or 5:0, but luck was not on their side.
'Dynamo' ultimately fell to the play-off stage of the Europa League qualifiers, where they will face the winner of the confrontation between 'Hamrun Spartans' and 'Maccabi' Tel Aviv.
