The Director of 'Ukrposhta' Explained to the Authorities Why It Is Dangerous to Dismiss Him.
The CEO of 'Ukrposhta' Mentioned His Political Connections
Igor Smilyansky, the CEO of 'Ukrposhta', announced on his Facebook page about his foreign education and connections with politicians. He noted that he studied at the same university with Donald Trump's children.
Smilyansky mentioned that he is accused of belonging to certain political forces. He studied at the business school of Georgetown University, where influential politicians from the USA also graduated.
He finished, so to speak, quite well (top 5% of graduates with the highest grade). So, in the next U.S. Congress, which depends on a lot, there will be 28 deputies (among them - seven senators) who also graduated from Georgetown. In particular, the leader of the Democrats, Hakeem Jeffries. But these are not all the leaders.
Smilyansky also noted that Donald Trump's children also studied at Georgetown University. He hopes to meet with former classmates at a reunion.
Recently, 'Ukrposhta' was involved in a scandal due to a charity campaign. MP Nina Yuzhanina claimed that the company automatically collects charitable contributions from clients when paying for delivery for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In this regard, the MP called on law enforcement to investigate this situation.
Later, Smilyansky admitted that he indeed collects charitable contributions, but does so together with KSE Foundation for the charity fund 'Kyiv School of Economics'. He also stated that the company provided more than 67 million hryvnias in assistance to the Armed Forces.
There was information that Smilyansky refused to answer Nina Yuzhanina's request regarding the number of 'Ukrposhta' employees who earn more than 100,000 hryvnias per month.
