Yaroslav Bazilevich, who lost his entire family to a Russian ballistic missile strike, is unlikely to return to live in his apartment on Konovalets Street in Lviv after its restoration. This was reported by the man's father in a conversation with journalists from "Vysokyi Zamok".

On one hand, this apartment is a memory, on the other, how will my son live with these memories

A part of Konovalets Street, where a Russian ballistic missile hit a building on September 4, is still blocked, guarded by police. Yaroslav Bazilevich, the husband of the deceased from the Russian shelling, Evgenia Bazilevich, and their three daughters – 21-year-old Yaryna, 18-year-old Darina, and 7-year-old Emilia – managed to access the apartment using a crane.

As noted, the stairwell in the building is completely destroyed. There is a chasm with remnants of walls. Therefore, residents cannot reach the destroyed apartments. People, with the help of rescuers and a crane, are collecting at least warm clothes in pieces... The inner courtyard of the building is completely destroyed, and no one is allowed there due to the risk of structure collapse.

Yaroslav just climbed up the crane and got into his apartment, where two rooms survived. He is taking things to our house in Obroshino, currently living with us, and has a room there. My son lived here with his family in a four-room apartment. The two rooms facing the yard, where the stairwell was, are destroyed; there is nothing there... The roof is crumpled. The stairwell is a weak cantilever structure, light and delicate. It collapsed from the impact just when the girls were going down it to escape the missile. With them on this stairwell were also Oleksandr Pogoretsky (former head of the Lviv Region Migration Service. – "Glavkom") and Yuriy Arabsky. Pogoretsky lived opposite Yaroslav's apartment. From his apartment, the windows of which overlook the yard, nothing remained. That's where it flew from. In Pogoretsky's apartment, there was an attic, everything collapsed there – from the ceiling to the walls. I know that Pogoretsky went down the stairs first, calling Yuriy Arabsky, but he was a bit delayed above. My girls were also running down. If they had stayed in the bedroom, they would have survived. My son Yaroslav was in the kitchen at that moment

Orest Bazilevich says that Yaroslav is now saved by the support of parents, family, and friends. He tries to occupy himself with any work to at least switch his mind a bit. The man clarified that Yaroslav underwent eye surgery due to injuries from the impact. He currently sees poorly with one eye.

Let's recall that as a result of the Russian attack on Lviv on September 4, seven people died, and 66 were injured, 10 of whom are children. Currently, 28 people are being treated in the regional center's medical institutions. Among the dead:

  • Emilia Bazilevich – 7 years old;
  • Darina Bazilevich – 18 years old;
  • Yaryna Bazilevich – 21 years old;
  • Evgenia Bazilevich – 43 years old;
  • Irina Demidova – 52 years old;
  • Oleksandr Pogoretsky – 54 years old;
  • Yuriy Arabsky – 55 years old.

As reported, the Russian attack on Lviv brought grief to the family of Yaroslav Bazilevich. In an instant, the man was left without his wife and three daughters.

The mayor published a family photo of the Bazilevich family, underneath which he wrote: "After today's attack, only the man remains alive in this photo. His wife Evgenia and their three daughters – Yaryna, Darina, and Emilia – died in their own home".

It is known that Yaryna Bazilevich worked as a program manager at the office "Lviv – European Youth Capital 2025".

It is also known that Evgenia Bazilevich and her three daughters were scouts.

Three schools and a creative center were hit in Lviv.

Additionally, as a result of the enemy attack on Konovalets Street in Lviv, the Regional Center for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation was affected. Its historic building was damaged. Over 70 windows were shattered. The blast wave blew out window frames. Ceilings collapsed in six offices.

In addition, the St. George the Victorious Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Chernivetska Street in Lviv was damaged.
