The Ukrainian biathlon team participated in the men's pursuit race at the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria. Dmytro Pidrychnyi, Vitalii Mandzyn, and Anton Dudchenko represented our country. Pidrychnyi showed the best result, starting from 15th place with a 58 seconds deficit.
'After a flawless first shooting, Pidrychnyi moved up one position. His second shooting also went without mistakes. He even took eighth place, but due to a penalty shot at the last range, he reportedly finished in 11th place,' - said the team representatives.
Mandzyn and Dudchenko could not make it into the scoring zone, finishing in 45th and 48th places, respectively.
'Mandzyn hit all targets at two shooting ranges, but he had three penalty laps at the first range. At the last shooting range, there was a mistake, and he failed to finish the race in the scoring zone' - the coaches reported.
'Dudchenko also showed a decline in results, finishing outside the top 40. He received two penalty laps at the first shooting and one mistake at the second shooting range. He successfully completed the first shooting, but after two mistakes at the final range, he fell out of contention for points' - the coaches added.
The winner of the race was Johannes Thingnes Bø from Norway. Frenchman Emilien Jacquelin finished second, and the third place went to Swiss Sturla Laegreid.

The next competitions will be held on December 15 in Kontiolahti, where the Ukrainian team will participate in the women's and men's relays.
