According to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine saw a significant increase in salaries in the third quarter of 2024. The average salary in the country increased by 22% compared to last year and amounted to 21,946 hryvnias.
The most impressive salary growth occurred in the information technology and telecommunications sector. In this industry, the average salary reached about 52.6 thousand hryvnias, which is 40.1% higher than in the same period last year. Moreover, this sector continues to remain the leader in salary size among all sectors of the economy.
In the education sector, salaries remain low. The average salary for educators in the third quarter of 2024 was 14,219 hryvnias, which is significantly below the national average. The salary growth in this sector was only 16.7% compared to last year, noticeably lagging behind the growth rates in other industries.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian teachers will stop receiving salaries from the budget.
