Andriy Dlihach, a Doctor of Economic Sciences, noted that Ukraine is considering the possibility of making the euro a key currency, but this may not happen until 2025. The expert emphasized that the transition to the euro will occur after the country joins the European Union, and the underestimation of the hryvnia is not a problem, but rather provides economic advantages. The expert also pointed out that switching to the euro may complicate conditions for Ukrainians who have incomes in hryvnias in the country or travel around the world, but it offers opportunities to ensure survival and growth in real incomes of the population. It is also known that from 2026, one of the countries will introduce settlements in euros.
