Pension contributions for parents: how to obtain insurance experience.
According to inkorr.com: The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained how parents who receive social payments for children can join the voluntary pension insurance system. The main condition is the absence of pensioner status and belonging to the category of insured persons.
Anyone who is not a pensioner and is not excluded from the register of insured persons of the State Register of Social Insurance can voluntarily make contributions.
For example, a mother who receives a survivor's pension for a child can make voluntary contributions for herself. In this case, she acts as the legal representative of the child but remains a non-pensioner, the Pension Fund noted.
Building your own insurance experience
The Pension Fund emphasized that voluntary pension contributions allow for official participation in the insurance system and the formation of one's own insurance experience for future retirement.
Parents' voluntary participation in the pension insurance system can be a significant step in ensuring their financial future and strengthening social protection.
This initiative opens new opportunities for parents who want to care for their old age and the financial security of their children. Through voluntary contributions, they can create a foundation for pension payments, ensuring stability for themselves in the future.
