Drone Assaults Target Key Russian Infrastructure

According to Espreso.tv: Multiple drone attacks have hit strategic sites across Russia, including an oil depot, a naval facility, and ammunition storage. Among the locations targeted are:

  • a fuel depot in Ust-Labinsk
  • the Kronstadt Marine Plant
  • a munitions warehouse in Leningrad Oblast
  • a port in occupied Mariupol

At 06:34, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov reported a “large-scale attack by unmanned aerial vehicles” and urged residents to remain indoors. These incidents highlight a growing trend of strikes deep inside Russian territory.

Details of the Fuel Depot Attack

The assault on the “Poltavskaya” oil depot in Ust-Labinsk underscores the severity of the situation. The resulting fire covers 5,000 square meters. The facility houses 28 storage tanks with a combined capacity of nearly 15,000 cubic meters, holding AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline as well as diesel fuel. According to Sergey Sternenko, no casualties have been reported.

Separately, a June 3 attack on the naval base in Kronstadt struck the corvette “Boykiy.” Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko claimed that 72 drones were shot down over the region. These events signal heightened tensions and growing security threats in the area.

These strikes on critical Russian infrastructure underscore rising risks to national security and the potential for further escalation in the conflict. The government and military response to these incidents may shape future developments, particularly amid ongoing hostilities in and around Ukraine. The situation demands close monitoring and could have serious implications for regional stability.
