Judoka Bilodid leaves the Olympics due to disqualification.
Ukrainian judoka Daria Bilodid was disqualified in the second match at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
In the round of 16 in the weight category up to 57 kilograms, Bilodid competed against Japanese judoka Haruka Funakubo, who has been a multiple-Time medalist at world championships.
The match continued into extra time, where Daria lost due to a third shido, leading to her disqualification.
Thus, the bronze medalist of the 2020 Olympics ended her quest for medals at the Games in Paris.
Recall that in the first round of the Olympics, the Ukrainian won against the representative of Kiribati, Nery Tibwa, executing a move for an ippon score in just five seconds.
Ukraine will be represented at the Olympics in almost all sports, except for team sports. This is the first time the football team will compete at the Games during Ukraine's independence.
