Newcastle prepares response to Isaac strike: who will become the new attacking player.
According to The Sun: Eddie Howe still does not know what the future holds for Alexander Isak, and does not rule out that the player may play for Newcastle again.
The 'Magpies' coach stated that he is waiting until 19:00 on Monday when the transfer window closes.
Alexander Isak, who wants to leave, and for whom Liverpool is offering a record British transfer fee of £130 million, again did not appear on the field when the team played to a goalless draw with Leeds.
Howe signed German star Niclas Füllkrug for £69 million to boost the attack, but is still looking to add more players.
After the match at Elland Road, he noted that he has 'no updates' regarding Isak and has not communicated with him, but emphasized that Newcastle continues to 'actively seek' opportunities to strengthen the squad.
Regarding Isak's status, Howe stated: “I don't know. I have no information on any negotiations taking place.”
“I was preparing for this game, which is quite complicated. I'm finding out everything just like everyone else.”
He also does not shut the door on keeping Isak in the team and confirmed that he hopes he can again become part of the squad, despite the negative reaction from fans.
“Yes, from my side, I've always said that. As long as he is still under contract with us, it has to be so.”
After signing Füllkrug, the 'Magpies' are looking to finalize a deal with Yoane Wissa from Brentford or Jørgen Strand Larsen from Wolverhampton before deciding on Isak's exit.

Howe added: “As a coach, there is always hope that you can add one more player who can impact the game.
“But I am really satisfied with the work we have done so far, and I believe our team is significantly stronger than last season.”
“Hopefully, we can make a few more signings.”
Howe emphasized that he will stay in touch until the transfer window closes and will only then begin to worry about his squad after an active summer.
He noted: “We really expect clarity regarding our squad, and of course, all the noise around it hasn't made life easier for the players during the preseason.”
“As soon as we have clarity, we will move forward. I am confident that this year we will be successful on our path.”
It is important to note that the situation surrounding Alexander Isak remains tense and requires attention, as Newcastle's actions in the transfer market may significantly impact their squad. Players and fans are waiting for a decision that will determine the team's future path this season.Read also
