Former official in Odesa region created a fictitious scheme for conscripting military personnel

According to inkorr.com: The State Bureau of Investigations revealed that a former official of the military district state administration in Odesa organized schemes for fictitious conscription of military personnel.

“The suspect established two schemes for profiting from draft evaders, one of which was opened earlier. The said official offered military personnel the opportunity to leave the country using fictitious conscription for 16,000 US dollars,” the SBI reported.

The former official is currently facing charges of receiving unlawful benefits, and a preventive measure has been chosen for him – arrest for 60 days with the possibility of posting bail of 1.5 million UAH.

Other possible participants in the crime are being investigated

Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway, examining other individuals who may have been involved in this scheme.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations established that the former official illegally organized a conscription scheme for military personnel, offering them the opportunity to leave the country for a significant sum of money. He has been charged with receiving unlawful benefits, and the investigation is ongoing.

This case underscores the importance of combating draft evasion and corruption in the military sphere, as such schemes can severely undermine the country's defense capability. The investigation must determine if there are other participants and possibly masterminds of this unlawful activity.
