Former advisor to the Ministry of Energy selected a preventive measure: 126 million hryvnias bail.
Sentence of the court in the case of 'Energoatom'
According to inkorr.com: Today, the court made a decision regarding the former advisor Halina Halushchenko, Ihor Mironyuk, in the case of corruption schemes at 'Energoatom'. He was assigned a preventive measure that may lead to imprisonment until January 8 or the possibility of being released on bail in the amount of 126 million hryvnias.
Prosecutors reported that Mironyuk was an active participant in the money laundering scheme in the company and facilitated the involvement of new business partners. Against this background, the lawyer emphasized that Ihor Mironyuk had a limited role in the Ministry of Energy and 'Energoatom' and did not hold the position of advisor to ministers.
It should be noted that NABU uncovered a corruption scheme in 'Energoatom', in which individuals without proper authority received bribes from the company’s partners. Moreover, the fact of 'legalizing' funds through offshore companies was established. Among the suspects are Tymur Mindich, Ihor Mironyuk, Dmytro Basov, and other employees involved in corruption schemes.
This case touches on important aspects of the functioning of state companies in Ukraine, particularly exposing the scale of corruption in the energy sector. Increased attention to this topic is a guarantee of steps towards cleansing the industry and transparency in public finances.
