With her new hobby, she is trying to distract herself from tennis and enjoy her time in New York, rather than staying in her room to recover. Her friend Carlos Alcaraz also enjoys playing golf during Wimbledon.
Raducanu shared that she started practicing at the golf openings in her free time with her new coach Francisco Roig. Her form at the tournament in New York is impressive: she confidently won two matches.
“In the second round, I got a bye, for which I am very grateful,” Raducanu shared. “I will go to the golf course to try.”
Today, Emma is set to meet with Elena Rybakina, the 26-year-old Wimbledon champion, who is also a highly qualified tennis player. Raducanu noted that the time spent with Roig is very important for her development since he previously worked with Rafael Nadal.
“I am trying to learn some words in Spanish so that we can communicate during tough moments,” she added.
“Francis brings a lot of positive energy, always joking, and it really helps me.”

Together with Roig, she is working to improve her golf skills, especially working with slices, to diversify her game.
“It’s just a call to expand my arsenal of play,” she noted.
Raducanu is confident that working with Roig will help her become more competitive on the international stage.
An interesting twist in Emma Raducanu's career reflects her pursuit of new challenges. Success in tennis does not prevent her from exploring new opportunities in the sports world. Golf may become a new platform for her self-expression and achievements, just as it was in tennis. Watching her career's development, one can confidently say that we will see even more exciting moments from this talented athlete.
