Stable Energy System of Ukraine: How the Government Provides Light and Heat.
According to inkorr.com: Ukraine continues to restore the damaged energy and gas infrastructure following aggression from Russia. Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk emphasized the stability of the energy system, which remains under control even in wartime conditions.
The greatest difficulties are observed in the Chernihiv region, where energy facilities are attacked almost daily. However, as the minister noted, the energy system is still operating stably despite the shelling.
'The situation in the energy system is controlled, and even under such difficult circumstances, it remains stable. Currently, there are three shifts of hourly outages in the region, but after repairs are completed, we expect stabilization.'- stressed Hrynchuk.
Government Measures to Support Energy System Stability
The government is taking additional measures to balance the load on the energy system during peak hours. Industrial enterprises have been imposed restrictions on electricity consumption, and they are also allowed to import electricity from European Union countries to ensure uninterrupted production.
'Despite the difficult conditions, Ukraine is preparing for the heating season with necessary gas reserves and a certain portion of imports. Thanks to joint work with Naftogaz and gas transmission system operators, we have achieved the necessary stock levels.'- she emphasized.
Thus, after Russian aggression, Ukraine is actively engaged in restoring the damaged energy and gas infrastructure. The stability of the energy system is confirmed, and government measures are aimed at ensuring its stability, balancing the load during peak hours, and supporting gas reserves and electricity imports for uninterrupted operation of industrial enterprises.
These efforts demonstrate Ukraine's commitment not only to uphold the normal functioning of the energy sector in wartime but also to prepare for the upcoming heating season. The situation remains under control, and the government is actively working to improve the stability of energy systems, which is critically important for the economy and the well-being of the population.
