Former Premier League goalkeeper Foderingham surprisingly joined a Cypriot club.
According to The Sun: Former Premier League goalkeeper unexpectedly signed a contract with a top-tier Cypriot club.
Ex-Sheffield United goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has secured an agreement with Aris Limassol on a free transfer after his brief stint at West Ham.
AlamyThe 34-year-old Foderingham joined the Hammers last summer but did not appear in official matches, as he held the position of the team’s third-choice goalkeeper.
Now, having left East London, he has moved to Cyprus where he signed a two-year deal with Aris Limassol.
This transfer marks Foderingham's first move outside of Great Britain. Previously, he played for clubs such as Rangers, Swindon Town, Crystal Palace, and Fulham.
Although he did not achieve significant accomplishments on the field with West Ham, his off-field activities resonated with fans. As a former youth international for England, Foderingham became a community champion for the PFA club in the 2024/25 season, actively participating in charity events, visiting local schools, and supporting health initiatives.
The last match he participated in was for Sheffield United, where he was the starting goalkeeper during the 2023/24 championship campaign.
In this campaign, he witnessed the most significant defeat for the club in the Premier League, conceding EIGHT GOALS in a 0-8 loss at home to Newcastle.
Sheffield United finished that season in last place in the table.

Foderingham's move to Aris Limassol will allow him to reunite with former Rangers teammate Connor Goldson, who is the captain of the Cypriot club.
Currently, Aris Limassol sits at the top of the Cypriot league table, although the team recently lost in the qualifying round of the Conference League, suffering defeat to the Greek club AEK in a two-legged tie.
