Enzo Maresca sacked by Chelsea: reasons for the club's unexpected decision.
Coach's resignation after the match
According to The Sun: Enzo Maresca left Stamford Bridge without saying a word to his players after Chelsea dropped points in the game against Bournemouth. Just a few days later, he was dismissed from his position.
Maresca skipped the press conference after the match, which ended 2-2, citing feeling unwell.
“I just couldn’t do it,” he said.
It became known that his assistant also left the club along with the coach.
This resignation was a logical continuation of events, as the team's recent results left much to be desired. Chelsea is currently in a difficult situation, and the new coach will need to put in a lot of effort to get the team back on the winning track. The situation at the club requires urgent resolution, so the new coach could become a key figure in this stage of the team's development.
