Criticism of the red card
Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca expressed dissatisfaction with Malo Gusto's 'senseless' red card, but noted that his attitude towards the game led to this decision.According to The Sun: Gusto received a second yellow card in the final moments of the match when Chelsea won against Nottingham Forest 3-0. This was the team's fifth dismissal in the last six matches. The Frenchman could have avoided risky actions, but his commitment to the game was the reason for receiving the card.
“It was senseless, but I appreciate his attitude,” Maresca noted.
Despite the numerous red cards, Chelsea continues to show confident play on the pitch, indicating the team's efforts this season. The incidents with red cards may pose a challenge for the team; however, their current form allows them to stay on the right track to achieve their goals this season.
