Eric ten Hag sacked by Bayer
According to The Sun: According to reports, Eric ten Hag has left his position as coach of Bayer Leverkusen. The experienced specialist, who previously managed Manchester United, joined the club in May after a seven-month break but ended his tenure with the team after just two matches in the Bundesliga.
GettyThe first match under ten Hag's leadership ended in a confident 4-0 victory over SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. However, in the Bundesliga, Leverkusen first lost 2-1 to TSG Hoffenheim and then drew 3-3 with Werder, who finished with ten men.
As Fabrizio Romano claims, the club's management decided to sack the 55-year-old coach after unsatisfactory results.

Ten Hag became Bayer's coach, replacing Xabi Alonso, who had led the team to victories in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal in the 2023/24 season before leaving the club for Real ahead of the Club World Cup.
After the match against Werder, ten Hag's team found themselves in 12th place, and he noted that his players were not ready for the season. 'The players are not ready. We have a new team, and some of the players are completely out of shape,' he said.
'The team did not function at all during the final stages of the game. It just is what it is. They need to increase their intensity and improve their fitness to meet my standards.'
Interestingly, ten Hag has now become the third former Manchester United coach to be sacked in the past week. Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also left their clubs - Fenerbahce and Besiktas respectively - after failures in the Champions League qualifiers.
