Yermak: A Just Peace is Not a Frozen Conflict.
Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak presented an updated Victory Plan in Davos and participated in a discussion on the Peace Formula alongside former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
During the discussion, Yermak emphasized the completion of work on a document that details the implementation of all ten points of the Peace Formula. According to him, this document is the result of several months of work following the first Peace Summit.
'The Victory Plan is a very important and concrete document about what our partners need to do in order for Ukraine to have a strong position for any potential negotiations,' Yermak noted, adding that Ukraine is fighting against a nuclear state that surpasses it in territory, population, and armament.
The head of the Office emphasized that a just peace does not mean a frozen conflict; it implies reliable security guarantees that would prevent further aggression. Otherwise, he said, the only means of defense could be nuclear weapons.
Jens Stoltenberg, for his part, noted that despite some tactical successes of Russia, the aggressor pays a huge price for them. The former NATO Secretary General emphasized the importance of continuing pressure on the Russian Federation and strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, calling it the key to achieving a just peace.
