American senator from the Republican Party Lindsey Graham reported that President Donald Trump agrees to support a law on tough sanctions against Russia. The decision is set to be made after the summer recess of Congress."Yesterday, for the first time, the president told me that it's time to move the bill forward," Graham shared after a conversation with Trump during a golf game on ABC News. The senator is confident that Trump will sign the law once it is passed by lawmakers. The bill proposed by Graham envisages a 500% tariff on imports from countries that continue to buy Russian energy resources. The main goal of the initiative is to convey to countries supporting the Russian economy the necessity to reconsider their positions."Sanctions against Russia are of great importance. Their economy must take a hit if they are not going to stop the war," commented Graham's statement by Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. As a result of the conversation between Senator Graham and President Trump, it became known that the American leader is ready to support tough sanctions against Russia. The bill aims to decrease support for the Russian economy by imposing significant import tariffs on goods from countries cooperating with Putin's regime. This initiative could become a key step in resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine and reducing the influence of the Russian regime on international affairs.
